The novel takes the tasty concepts of the film and builds a story around them, where as the film, while great, took the tasty concepts and built a movie around them... and it's just never the same.

Oh, and the ending.

Can some of you explain what was so great about it? I watched just over half of it before I got bored. The same thing goes for bladerunner. I have a hard time figuring out what's so great about it when everyone thinks its the greatest thing ever.
